NRA Takes Aim at the Federal Courts: NRA v. BATFE and NRA v. McCraw

Do 18 year olds have a constitutional right to buy a handgun from a Federal dealer? Not according to Congress. (NRA v. BATFE) To carry a handgun in public? Not according to the Texas legislature. (NRA v. McCraw)

Those are pointed questions and they present precise targets. But not to the NRA ...

In challenging these, the NRA is aiming not just at the ATF, or at Texas law, or even at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals that decided against it in both cases. Its target is allFederalcourts who, it declares, are "engaged in massive judicial resistance to implementing this Court’s Second Amendment decisions...." And, "This case [BATFE] presents a prime example of this de facto rejection of Heller and McDonald by lower courts."

Strong rhetoric like that is like taking shots with this:

Will the NRA hit its target? Duck down below the fragmented bulls-eye.
